Do you know how network marketing works? I have been network marketing for almost 5 years. I have been told by my upline that network marketing is all about recruiting downlines into my business. I spent thousands of dollars and stock up a lot of products as I want to be promoted to the position of supervisor. I always thought that by doing this, it would be a fast track to success. What is network marketing?

Are you familiar with these real life stories? Or are you one of the victims that are bought into the ideas? I have tasted countless of rejections every single day and have done countless of cold calls and surveys and everyone seems to avoid me. So what is network marketing all about?

In every network marketing company, there are 2 fundamental elements that every company must have. They are products and a marketing system. Have you ever heard of people telling you that to succeed in network marketing, you need to find a company with outstanding products or with the best compensation plan? Let me briefly explain to you what is network marketing.

Network marketing is a business unit that comprises of a team of motivated individuals that have a common goal in their mind. What is it? It is about helping other people to get what they want.

Network Marketing Today on the Internet

What is network marketing? Network marketing today is different from what it was 5 years ago. It has transformed into an internet business opportunity. It is no longer a struggle for network marketers to recruit people into their business. On the internet, we can make money online even if prospects do not want to join our network marketing business. Something you should know before I tell you what I think is the solid network marketing system. Network Marketing is rigid. Be honest and do not fool yourself and most of all do not try network marketing unless you have a good plan into place with a potent and very duplicable network marketing system.

Here are some of the reasons of why such a large percent fail.

Marketing methods that are taught do not work 95% of the time. Old school and experience has taught me that marketers are to purchase and cold call leads. You will learn that after hours and hours and money thrown out the window it had very little success. However, some network marketers are in their comfort zone and doing very well with cold calling. Good for them. The ones that have lost countless hours and thousands of dollars give up.

Speaking of leads, most are generic. The failure in this is the type of leads you use comes from an ad wanting prospects who what to be financially free or just make money from home, very general or generic.  Since the generic leads most of the time does not have anything to do with YOUR business you will get a lot on “NOs” another reason to give up and add to the 95% of failure rate. This with failure is very negative and the network marketer is giving up again with no self-assurance and no new prospects.

So how do we change this pattern? We build a solid Network Marketing System! For the typical home based network marketer to be victorious and financially free a positive mania MUST be in place. Through the years of being taught and learning on my experience, I have found the information below will be an aide to all network marketers.

Expanding your MLM business online is becoming more and more popular in this day and age and with the dawn of Web 2.0 things have never been easier for the 'little guy' to be able to grow their network marketing business to unbelievable depths. The truth of the matter is that with all of the affordable technology that's available these days, it would be downright insane not to consider doing MLM business online.

It's true that all of the current network marketing companies have 'business' training systems in place and truthfully, the do cost a lot of money not only in the start up but also in the ongoing seminars and up selling marketing 'tools' such as business cards and so on.

However, the failure rate in MLM business is a shocking 95% and that is plain evidence that the 50 year old tactics are no longer effective for the masses to this very day.
