I have been researching a lot of direct sales companies, such as Home Interiors, Pampered Chef and so on. I have another 6 mths before my son is born, so I will be working part time and going to school full time, so i wont have much time for parties. I would like to however, get started and get my feet on the ground so that when I quit my job and am only going to school fulltime I can get into the parties…I have tried Avon, and the market is just too saturated. ANy help??? Thanks!

I'm a college freshmen about to move into my first apartment this summer (yikes!) and I recently just found out my current part time job is going to provide less work hours for the summer.. so I'm looking for additional work like online work or direct sales (ie Avon, Longaberger, Pampered Chef, etc)

Can anyone give me information on a company that would be worthwhile and right for me? Preferably a low start up cost? Lets keep in mind I am a college student…

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
P.S. Legitimate answers are appreciated.

Spam is definitely not.

P.P.S. As far as the beauty market is concerned, which company would be best?

I have tried Pampered Chef, but I am not great at getting people at parties to commit to doing their own parties – A crucial element in any home party type business. I have recently been thinking about trying Avon or Mary Kay or any others where you don't have to have parties to sell. Just wondering if anyone out there has tried any of these and can give me some advice. thanks

We would like one that is fun. We don't want something that is strictly online. So please don't give us information on those types of companies. Which is the best out of say Mary Kay, Avon, Arbonne, Beauty Control, Pampered Chef, and any other similar one? Thanks so much!

What about other companies like Longaberger, Pampered Chef, Home Interiors, etc.? They are all along the same type of structure (parties, orders, direct selling, recruiting comissions to name a few) so why is it only Mary Kay seems to get all the negative feedback on the internet?
It seems that MK has a negative image of pushy sales consultants and recruiting techniques. I just don't understand why you don't see the same comments about companies like Longaberger and other direct sales companies since those "types" of companies work under the same structure that Mary Kay does.

I know that some companies, like Pampered Chef, have starter programs for new consultants.
What company has the best one?

I've been looking into a few different things (Pampered Chef, BeautiControl, Home & Garden Party) to start doing for a little extra income and possibly convert to a full time job once my husband and I have children. I don't really know what exactly I need to look for and wanted to know what was everyone's opinion–especially those of you who are already consultants. Which would be the best one to work for?

I know you have to put quite a bit of money into direct sales companies like Party Lite, Home&Garden, Pampered Chef, etc. Is it really worth it after you pay for the starter kit, catalogs, postage, and gifts at shows?

home base business opportunity
Littlesby asked:

Do you do something from home and think that it is the best? I am interested and so far have been viewing the pampered chef opportunities, as well as health/wellness products. How much money do you average? I am a mom/wife and have a two day/week job, but we need more $$. Please provide me with any information that would be helpful!
