I am nervous about doing affiliate marketing, I am reading that click bank is a scam, are there honestly lagitamate programs?

I have this colleague at work who keeps trying to recruit me in his MLM team and I can't get him off my back. I know that in general these schemes are doomed to fail, that most of them are scams and the ones who make the money are the ones on top of the pyramid. I just don't want to get involved but he keeps showing me pamphlets and talking about all those "simple" people who got rich. The question I dread the most is "WHY" – "Why are you so sure it won't work?", "How can you be so prejudiced when you haven't even tried it?" and so on. And since "just a gut feeling" doesn't sound a reason enough to reject "such an opportunity" now I'm asking for an explanation exactly why MLM scemes are considered a failure. Thanks.

I've been in a mlm business for a few months and my checks average around 400 dollars a month. I've been working extremely hard but the success I want to obtain is very difficult. I want to start marketing online. I am willing to buy websites or etc but I just need some tips so I can avoid all the scams. Can someone please lead me or give some advice. Thanx

I have been researching making money online for about a month now. I don't know if I believe everything. I just need to know which ones are scams and which ones really work. I'd really like to talk to someone who does the same thing to give me some guidance.
I am kind of leaning more towards the "at home business" part of it.

Dude! now fed up. Wanna do something. What's online reliable and trust worthy money making programs? Most i hear of, are scams! Whats the best to do? No previous experience of online money making. So am scared lest som1 should cheat me. What I have to do in surveys and reading ads? What sort of such business fits me? How much do u think will i get for one month? I am disabled and am looking for a legitimate home based business idea or something I could do at home to make a small income. There are so many scams out there.
Thanks to all for your answers. It seems that even though people say this is not a scam I have looked into all the answers. Some have not answered my e-mails yet, but so far they are answer lots of these surveys and sign up for lots of things(magazines, credit cards…) and we will send you 75 cents.
